European Karate Championships 2025 (Junior, Cadet & U21)

From February 7-9, the European Karate Championships for Cadet, Junior & U21 took place in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. The competition brought together more than 1,100 athletes from 48 European countries.
Our club was represented by Annika Antonova and Alena Lanberg, who competed as part of the Estonian national team. In her first match, Alena Lanberg defeated her opponent from Cyprus with a score of 6:0. In the second match she also dominated her Belgian opponent with a score of 4:1. Unfortunately, 24 seconds before the end of the fight, the referee’s decision disqualified Alena, and her opponent was awarded the victory.
In her championship debut, Annika Antonova performed Kata Tomari basay and scored 33.3 points. She put in a lot of effort and gave a commendable performance.
Nevertheless, to compete in such a prestigious tournament is a great achievement. We are proud of our athletes and their performance on the European stage! 💪
