On November 16 in Ogre (Latvia) was held an international karate tournament WKF Latvia Open 2024, which gathered more than 300 participants from different countries, including Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as England. Our club Joshinmon sent its team to the competition, and although not everyone was able to come back with awards, everyone showed a decent level of preparation and fight.

Nevertheless, we are very happy with the success of our female athletes who won four medals: one silver 🥈 and three bronze 🥉. Here are their results:

🥈Alena Lanberg (U16, Kumite, +61 kg) – 2nd place

🥉 Annika Antonova (U16, Kata) – 3rd place

🥉 Arina Fomkina (U14, Kumite, +52 kg) – 3rd place

🥉 Penelope Istomin (U12, Kumite, +40 kg) – 3rd place.

We are proud of the performance of all our participants, because each of them put a lot of effort and effort. Regardless of medals, every trip is an important experience that leads to further development.
