fighting with arms and legs

Kickboxing is a very popular form of martial art, because this is one of the most spectacular and cinematic sports. A master of kickboxing successfully masters the techniques of Thai and English boxing, wushu, karate and even taekwondo. If the main goal of taking up a sport is to learn effective self-defence, then kickboxing is the most suitable option.

Kickboxing appeared in the USA in the 70’s of the 20th century, which makes it one of the youngest martial arts. The name “kickboxing” can be translated literally into other languages as “fighting with arms and legs”, which, in fact, accurately reflects the specific character of this form of combat. The invention of the term “kickboxing” is attributed to Chuck Norris, who is considered the most famous populariser of this sport.

kickboxing Benefits

A significant advantage of kickboxing is the different grades that are calculated precisely depending on the age and strength of the athlete. And attention is focused not only on the development of muscle mass, but also on coordination, endurance, flexibility, and speed. Despite the fact that kickboxing is a contact sport, training and subsequent competitions are entirely safe.

Among parents there is a preconception that martial arts classes will make a child more aggressive, but this is not the case at all. On the contrary the physically developed child is more collected and restrained and never allows themself to wrongly hurt others.

This kind of sport teaches self-discipline and self-control: a real athlete always knows what they are capable of and will never use force only for the sake of boasting. Kickboxing really tempers a child’s character, teaches them not to rest on their laurels and to seek even more impressive results, in fact this sport requires sports passion.
